a juggling object. If you see it abstractly, it is a rope with weights attached to both ends. The rope is usually between 1,5 and 2,5 meter long and the weights are either ball or small bowls filled with liquid. If the apparatus is used with one or two hands and set in motion this makes it look like a moving staff....
My interest for meteor manipulation began approximately 13 years ago. I started my juggling trajectory with balls, but soon I became interested in constructing new objects to manipulate. After trying several different objects, I stumbled upon the meteor, and never stopped ever since.
Nowadays, my interest has gone further and I am not only focused on the discipline itself but also in its development and promotion within the contemporary circus world.
I have literally studied this object and its properties, possibilities and probabilities.
I have trained and learned different styles, from the original Chinese technique to the more "French" style ;)
I have also taken time to analyse the technique in a more scientific way, wrote an article, and developed a terminology.
I deconstructed the object and followed my innate "German engineering" skills which led me to construct my own meteors. in this process I also created variations of the object such as: the bucketmeteor, the firemeteor or the Meteor 2.0.
If you are interested by anything I have just mentioned above, I would love to pass on my knowledge and share my passion with you. Regardless of your level of experience don't hesitate to contact me!
